The PDA Screen of the MOBOTIX Camera

The PDA screen has been optimized for PDAs and smart phones to deliver images, dialogs and features for these hand-held devices.

For example, if you would like to see a list of events on your PDA and download event images, open the PDA Event List.

Camera Name

Shows the camera name as set in the Quick Installation wizard or in the Ethernet Interface dialog in the Camera name field.

Event Story

(-1..0..2)

Show the exact position of the image within an image story. In this case, one pre-alarm image (-1) and two post-alarm images (2) had been stored. The number in the middle (0) shows the current image's position (0 is the event image itself).

This information is only displayed, if the Player screen Player is active and the button Story on is visible.

Date Display

Displays the date and time information of the current image.

Quality

Select the JPEG quality for the displayed image.

This information is only displayed, if the Live screen Live is active.

Displays the event number of the current image.

This information is only displayed, if the Player screen Player is active.

The image area shows the current image of the camera.

In order to get a new image in the Live screen, click again on the button Live of the Toolbar at the Bottom of the Screen.

The Live PDA screen of the MOBOTIX camera displays the current image of the camera. To see a new image, click again on the button Live.

Use the Player screen to view events stored in the internal or the external (file server) image storage of the camera. Click on the image to show it in its original size.

In order to see the individual event images, the player buttons , , and are available. While doing so, the event number of the image is displayed in the top right corner.

Usually, only the event images are shown in the Player. If pre- and post-alarm images are available, you can click on to see those as well. In this case, the button appears and the position of the current image within the story is shown in the title bar.

The Event List screen displays a list of the last events stored by the camera.

Click on an event number to display the image on the PDA screen.

In the Event Search, select a date and time to show and click on the  button. You will get an Event List with all events before and after the selected date and time.

Click on an event number to display the image on the PDA screen.

The Softbuttons PDA dialog allows selecting one of the softbutton functions defined in the camera.

Select the desired softbutton function from the list and click on OK.

Click on this button to switch from one lens to the other.

This feature is not available for cameras with only one lens and in Night models.

Triggers the User Click (UC) event of the camera.

Displays information on the hardware, software and the most important settings of the camera in a format that is suitable for PDAs.
